While our counsellors bring a lived experience of being queer, we recognise that each of us have very different stories and backgrounds that are largely influenced by our own intersectionality and know that while we may not have the same unique experience that you do, we can empathise with the struggles that come from a cisgendered, heteronormative society. We strive to use an intersectional framework to practice in a culturally sensitive way, ensuring that we are keeping in mind and in view the external systems that may discriminate against those in our communities in doing the work of healing and empowering through therapy and counselling.
